Actually, some people in the city are indeed up and about before noon. I was there with my husband and daughter from 10 - 11 this morning and there were quite a few people out even then. In fact, by 11 am, 24th Street was already so crowded it was difficult to find space to ride. (Valencia Street felt quite spacious and wide in comparison.) Great to see all the kids everywhere. It was definitely a fun morning activity. Thank you to all the folks who put it on.

I <a href="http://happening-here.blogspot.com/2009/06/sunday-streets-comes-to-mission.html" rel="nofollow">blogged this event.</a> Can anyone explain why such closures don't run from noon to 4 pm? The first 2 hours are wasted on a Sunday.
