		<description>I agree with Marc. This is some of the best news about public transit in California in a while. If this money comes through, the MTA should be pushed to spend it on service improvements that save the agency operating money and improve reliablity.</description>

		<description>This is a welcome victory for the tens of thousands of Bay Area residents that depend exclusively on transit for their basic mobility. Low-income families are already bracing for dramatic cutbacks in social services and government assistance in the new state budget.  As more people continue to look for work, let’s not make it worse by isolating them further from jobs and basic opportunities. The Legislature should respect the ruling by the state court of appeal and not divert $336 million in spillover gas tax revenues away from public transportation in the 2009-10 budget.</description>
