		<description>@Taomom - For NYC, I suspect the biggest potential roadblock is the Mayor, and Bloomberg did not come out against these facilities in the boroughs they&#039;ve gone in. Now...ask about the boroughs that haven&#039;t seen these investments, and you&#039;ll find the politics are probably not all that different.</description>

		<description>New York has completely leapfrogged over San Francisco in terms of bicycle infrastructure.  They are putting in beautiful, completely buffered bike lanes willy-nilly.  (Don&#039;t they have red tape in New York?  Insane law suits? Byzantine environmental regulations?  What gives?)

Earl Blumenauer, Janette Sadik-Khan, and Mikael Colville Anderson are all gods in the pantheon of bicycle goodness.</description>
