Contra Costa Public Workshops on Priority Projects for Regional Transportation Plan: Pleasant Hill

9:27 PM PDT on April 17, 2011

From EBBC:

Want to see more bike/ped bridges get built over freeways and busy roadways in Contra Costa?

Now through April is cyclists' time to ask the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) for 'big-ticket' bike projects in the upcoming Contra Costa Countywide Transportation Plan-a 25-year planning document that is part of the Regional Transportation Plan “Call for Projects.” We are looking for "big ticket" projects of at least $1 million here.

The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) is a long-range policy document that guides transportation funding decisions for the nine county Bay Area transportation system over a 25-year horizon. This includes bike projects for both Contra Costa and Alameda Countywide Transportation Plans–and guides what gets built. For example, all projects requesting state or federal funding must be consistent with the Countywide Transportation Plan.

Please attend one of the Contra Costa County meetings and let the CCTA know that you support important bikeway projects in the Countywide Transportation Plan.
