Alameda Bronze Level Bike-Friendly City Award Presentation

Posted By Robert Prinz On May 27, 2012 @ 11:27 pm In Events | No Comments

From EBBC [1]:

The City of Alameda has been awarded Bronze-level status as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists this week. This award shows Alameda is a community exhibiting a strong commitment to cycling specifically in the areas of Bicycle Evaluation and Planning, Encouragement and Education. This was no small accomplishment. Lots of local participation as well as stacks of paperwork and research are just part of what it took for Alameda to gain this bicycle friendly city status.

Bonnie Wehmann, a BikeAlameda Board member and East Bay Bicycle Coalition Education Director will present this award at the 7pm City Council meeting to the City of Alameda, BikeAlameda and the bicycle community. Please come and show your support as a part of the Alameda Bicycle community.

For more information, contact Bonnie Wehmann [2], EBBC’s Education Director.
