SPUR: Adaptive Reuse in Los Angeles
Posted By Robert Prinz On July 22, 2012 @ 1:44 pm In Events | No Comments
From SPUR :
How can cities incentivize the reuse of historic structures? Los Angeles has been extremely successful in preserving historic properties throughout the basin while allowing those properties to be reused in new ways, so what can the Bay Area learn from Los Angeles’ experience? How can these lessons be applied to new planning efforts in San Francisco, such as those in the Central Market area? Come hear from Mike Buhler, Executive Director of San Francisco Architectural Heritage and Trudi Sandmeier, Director of Graduate Programs in Heritage Conservation at the University of Southern California as they explore how adaptive reuse lessons from Los Angeles can be applied in the San Francisco context. Co-presented by San Francisco Architectural Heritage.
