  • Parking meters for Zoo. Elsbernd takes his son to the zoo by car. Probably because if he took the L, he’d be scared to cross Sloat. The L gets you in as good a proximity as a lot of those free spaces but the crossing of Sloat is a joke. There is a marked crosswalk but there is also high speed traffic that you have to gamble will respect the crosswalk.

    Zoo… Not to mention the last zoo renovation moved the entrance from near the L offload to much further (~150 yds) into the middle of the parking lot.

    Remove a lane and add bulb-outs to shorten crossing distances.
