6:30 pm to 9:00 pmPresidio Community YMCA, 63 Funston Ave, Letterman or Bike Program Shop BikeSmart Bike Mechanics II will thoroughly cover the most commonly encountered bike maintenance issues and will teach participants essential bike maintenance skills including how to true wheels, adjust hubs and headsets and change cables and housing. students will be introduced to specific tools and learn more about how and why bikes work. Ages 14+

7:00 pm to 9:30 pmThe Bike Kitchen, 650H Florida St. Over the 3 weeks (April 6th, 13th, 20th), it will cover what is included in a basic shop tune-up: installing and removing tubes and tires (i.e. fixing a flat), installing brake and shift cables, adjusting brakes and gears, chain maintenance, truing wheels, etc. * No previous knowledge about bikes is required or expected. But a willingness to learn and have fun is a must!
