Sunday Streets
The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition was proud to initiate this idea and have it championed by a broad coalition including the Mayor's Office, Shape Up SF Coalition, Livable City, YMCA and many others. Sunday Streets embraces the Ciclovia-style temporary street closure as a simple way to encourage healthy activity, connect neighborhoods and create communities with happy neighbors and more livable streets. Sunday Streets opened minds by opening streets and moving our city forward.
