Stephen was a reporter for Streetsblog NYC from August 2012 to October 2015, covering livable streets and transportation issues in the city and the region. After joining Streetsblog, he covered the tail end of the Bloomberg administration and the launch of Citi Bike. Since then, he covered mayoral elections, the de Blasio administration's ongoing Vision Zero campaign, and New York City's ever-evolving street safety and livable streets movements. Stephen graduated from Cornell University with a degree in urban and regional studies and received a master's degree in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute. A native Rhode Islander, Stephen is most at home on the beach or a boat. As a kid, he collected maps, drew his own maps, and amassed a couple hundred Matchbox cars.
