"The Good Roads Riders return to Potrero Hill determined to get the job done. Last month’s “Circling the Hill” was too much fun and too formidable for just one sweep. NOPA VELO’s Patty Hearst/Presidio Ride
"Join the first NOPA VELO monthly bike ride for 15 miles through Golden Gate Park and the Presidio with two moderate climbs. Visit NOPA site of Patty Hearst/Tania’s captivity and get Presidio update from Ranger Dale. Patty/Tania and park ranger attire encouraged. All level riders welcome."

Bay Area Derailleurs Mini Bike Cabaret
"The Bay Area Derailleurs present MINI BIKE CABARET, a multi-media art and dance extravaganza featuring peers, friends, and supporters of the bicycle dance movement. The evening will feature dance performances by the Derailleurs, the Bombshells (punk rock burlesque), and the Cheese Puffs (lounge burlesque); live music, an art show, film screenings, and the release of the Derailleurs’ bike-themed coloring book."

Free Urban Cycling Workshop: Intro to Safe Cycling (Day 1)
"This four-hour in-classroom, introductory course is perfect for new cyclists and those want to feel more comfortable riding on city streets. Class will cover the basics for how to choose the right bike and properly fit a helmet. Learn tips for the safest ways to ride in traffic, techniques to avoid or deal with road hazards and emergency maneuvers along with other useful gems of knowledge, like the best way to lock up your bike and how to use a bike in combination with public transit, and cyclists' legal rights and responsibilities."
