  • RE: attack on BART

    Last week back to back stories. First story…East Palo Alto reports dramatic decrease in crime on account of beat cops patrolling the streets. Second story…BART crime skyrockets. Where’s the police presence? I’ve only occasionally seen officers in the Embarcadero station. Muni is equally pathetic. I can’t tell you how many announcements I’ve heard for “officers respond to situation at X station.” Problem is there aren’t any officers in that station. By the time they arrive the perp is long gone.
