SFBC: San Francisco’s Presidio: A Fresh Look
"The transformation of the Presidio is accelerating, and changes to the
forests, natural areas, architecture, and bike paths are worth a close
up look. This tour of the Presidio's backroads is led by a Natural
Areas program volunteer and SFBC member. Easy ride on pavement - be
prepared to ascend twice to the Presidio's ridge line.

SFBC Pavement to Parks Ride
"Join the San Francisco Great Streets Project as we check out the sites
of San Francisco's newest public space movement. Starting at the City's
first Pavement to Parks Site in the Castro, we'll continue on to the
three sites soon to be reclaimed in Potrero, Southern Mission and the
Excelsior. All are welcome, will not be a strenuous ride. Heavy rain
cancels."

Free Urban Cycling Workshop: Intro to Safe Cycling (Day 1)
"This four-hour, in-classroom, introductory course is perfect for new
cyclists and those want to feel more comfortable riding on city
streets. The class covers the basics for how to choose the right bike
and properly fit a helmet. Learn tips for the safest ways to ride in
traffic, techniques to avoid or deal with road hazards and emergency
maneuvers along with other useful gems of knowledge, like the best way
to lock up your bike and how to use a bike in combination with public
transit, and cyclists' legal rights and responsibilities.
