SPUR Young Urbanists: Exploring “Metropolis,” the theme for Burning Man 2010
"Once a year, tens of thousands of participants gather to celebrate Burning Man in the Nevada desert and create Black Rock City—a temporary town, and the third largest in Nevada—for one week. This year's theme “Metropolis, the Life of Cities,” explores the common elements of the city and the festival—organic, spontaneous, heterogeneous and untidy hubs of social interaction. Join us for a conversation with Larry Harvey, a founder of Burning Man, followed by a party in true Black Rock City style with DJ Syd Gris, performance artists and other surprises!"
