SFBC “Bike to School” Training at SFBC Healthy Saturdays Kick-Off Picnic
"Want to feel more confident in leading or having your child participate in a "Bike Train" from home to school and back? In preparation for the SF Bike to School Day, this 2.5 hour session offers families and youth an opportunity to improve confidence and safety on the road. The training will empower parents with bicycle helmet fitting, safety checks, skill building drills and group riding.

SFBC Treehouse Talk: Riding the Iron Curtain Trail

Parliament, will tell of his travels (and his recent book) on the Iron Curtain
Trail. For almost half a century, Europe was divided into East and
West by the "Iron Curtain" — the Iron Curtain Trail invites people to
retrace and experience this former division of the continent on a
4,400-mile cycle track from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea along the
former western border of the Warsaw Treaty States, combining European
culture, history and sustainable tourism. The trail extends along the
borders of 20 states in Europe — 14 of them are now member states of the

"The Bike Kitchen is offering their Advanced Maintenance Class over three Saturday mornings in March (March 13th, 20th, and 27th.) Class will cover overhaul and maintenance of the bike's major rotational systems--headsets, hubs and bottom brackets--as well as introduce some basics of wheel truing.
