SFMTA Board Debates Mode Shift Goal at Workshop
SFMTA Chief Nat Ford presented his "State of the SFMTA" [pdf] report to the board of directors at a special workshop today, a mostly glowing assessment of the past few years but one that acknowledged the pains of its funding crises and the many challenges the agency faces as it looks to the future.

SPUR Forum: GreenTRIP
GreenTRIP is a new certification program that rewards residential in-fill projects that help reduce traffic and greenhouse gas emissions. To get certification, developments must be located near transit stops or stations in walkable neighborhoods and apply traffic-reduction strategies such as offering discounted transit passes or car-sharing memberships to residents. Sewer History Bike Tour and Art Party
Who: A group of sewer historians, stormwater experts, artists and visionaries.
What: A two day event featuring a panel discussion of the water history of San Francisco, a bicycle tour with sewer highlights, and an art party to celebrate water, our streets, and everything in between.
