SFBC Urban Bicycling Workshop: Traffic Skills 101-1

This introductory course is perfect for anyone who wants to be more comfortable riding. This four-hour, in-classroom course will cover the basics on how to choose the right bike and properly fit a helmet as well as tips for the safest ways to ride in traffic. You'll also learn techniques to avoid or handle street hazards and emergency maneuvers along with the best way to lock up your bike and how to use a bike in combination with public transit, and biking rights and responsibilities. This free class, funded in partnership with the SFMTA & SFCTA, is open to adults and anyone over 14 years of age; preregistration is required. Indoor bike parking provided! SFBC Bike Education is for Lovers: Street Safety Workshop for Singles
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we’re hosting a special Bike Safety Workshop for singles – to teach you how to safely and easily ride to the date of your dreams, and meet other folks interested in biking. As a special edition to our regular bicycle safety workshops, we’re inviting un-attached folks of any persuasion to learn how to safely share the road with traffic, and learn how to best integrate bicycling into your daily life. Plus, there’s a complimentary glass of wine and route finding to best date spots. This free class is held at the SF Bicycle Coalition Offices (833 Market Street, 10th Floor) is easily accessible by MUNI, BART at Powell Station.
