This Week: SFMTA Set to Approve New Muni Line
The Streetsblog calendar kicks off 2015 with a solid addition to the transit system: Tomorrow, the SFMTA Board of Directors Tuesday is expected to approve a new Muni route that would connect 16th Street BART to Mission Bay. The year's first SPUR forums and public meetings for the first round of SFMTA street redesigns in 2015 follow later in the week.

This Week: A Deluge of Transportation Planning Meetings
It's the week before Thanksgiving, which means it's time for city agencies to pack in a last-minute flood of community meetings before the holiday season. The SFMTA will host meetings on Market Street car restrictions and transit lanes, upgrades for the Muni 8X-Bayshore Express, and another public workshop about designs for a protected bikeway on the Embarcadero. Tomorrow, the SFMTA Board of Directors is also set to approve transit upgrades for Van Ness BRT, Haight Street, and bus bulb-outs on Columbus Avenue. The SFMTA and Planning Department will also hold two meetings about re-envisioning transportation in SoMa.

Tomorrow is election day, so get out and cast your vote on measures like Prop L, the bid from Sean Parker and the Republican Party to enshrine 20th-century car-centric policies in SF. The SFMTA will also hold three open houses on proposed transportation improvements this week -- two on Muni's 5 and 28 routes, and one on a protected bikeway on the Embarcadero.
