Tomorrow, the Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a development tax to help fund the Caltrain/high-speed rail extension to the Transbay Transit Center, but could reduce the rate for developers and slash revenue for the project. You can help ensure this crucial regional transit connection gets completed by telling the supes to stick with the original funding agreement, and not to bow to the Willie Brown-backed developers.

Join the SF Transit Riders Union Thursday for a pub-crawl-via-Muni fundraiser. The SFMTA will also hold a public hearing on Friday for street safety improvements on Columbus Avenue, Bay Street, and more. A celebration will also be held Saturday for Amelie Le Moullac's life, one year after she died in a SoMa truck crash.

Update: The SFMTA meeting about changes to the Muni 5-Fulton line was postponed until July 17.

The SFMTA will hold two open house community meetings this week: One on Muni improvements along Haight Street, and another on adding a buffer to the Howard Street bike lane.
