Greenbelt Alliance: Marvelous Marin Headlands
From Greenbelt Alliance:
Join Greenbelt Alliance for a spectacular hike on the Coastal Trail in the Marin Headlands. We’ll see intriguing geological features, fascinating botanical specimens, and even a newt pond in a most unexpected spot, an abandoned World War II gun emplacement! The Marin Headlands were once targeted to become a sprawl development and the campaign to save the hills was one of Greenbelt Alliance’s earliest victories. We’ll hear about current campaigns to make the Bay Area great for everyone by ensuring the right development happens in the right places.
