GoBike ebikes are dropping April 24:

I’ve got to say, I’ve been walking mid-Market a bunch lately, and while nobody would confuse it for utopia (for my last five blocks: one drug deal and one case of dodging a stream of fresh urine), there’s a hint of Copenhagen in the air. Well-used bike lanes with bikes, bikeshare, ebikes, scooters, hoverboards, lots of people walking, riding transit. Even without all the street improvements, it’s looking more and more like the vision that’s been promised for years, and the race to ban scooters is weird to me in that respect.

I feel like the majority of the problem could be addressed with a PCO or two who hollers at scooter users to get off the sidewalk, along with a “don’t be an asshole and dump it in the middle of the sidewalk” campaign.
