This Week: Addressing Anti-Ped/Bike Bias at the SFPD
This week, the SF Bicycle Coalition will hold an advocacy strategy meeting on the push for better SFPD crash investigations. The Planning Department hosts an open house on its Living Alley Project in Hayes Valley, the Department of Public Works hosts another open house on the Potrero Avenue redesign, and the SFMTA Board of Directors considers a pilot project for a wider bike lane on Folsom Street in SoMa. Oh, and if you have any qualms the recent re-introduction of cars at Oakland's Latham Square plaza, this week's your chance to let the city know.

This Week: A More Livable Mission/Valencia Intersection
At two overlapping meetings on Wednesday, the city will show final concepts for greener, more pedestrian-friendly streets at the intersection of Mission and Valencia Streets and on Holloway Avenue. Also this week: Folks For Polk and the SF Bicycle Coalition host brainstorming sessions for advocacy on Polk Street, SPUR talks ride-sharing, and Transportation Camp is back in the bay.

This Week: SFBC’s Winterfest, Parking Meters in the Mission
It's time to party once again at the SF Bicycle Coalition's Winterfest this weekend. Also this week: SPUR hosts a live episode of 99% Invisible and a forum on Silicon Valley's tech innovations in transportation, Supervisor Eric Mar takes a Halloween bike ride, and the SFMTA looks at constructing new restrooms for Muni operators. An SFMTA hearing on Friday also offers a chance for residents to speak up in support of new parking meters to reduce needless cruising in the Mission.

This Week: Hearing on SFPD Investigations of Bike/Ped Crashes
This week, the Board of Supervisors holds a hearing on the SFPD's investigations of bicycle and pedestrian crashes in light of the department's embarrassing handling of the case of Amelie Le Moullac. A SPUR forum also looks at the history of San Francisco infrastructure and development ideas that never came to be, and the SFCTA hosts open house meetings on re-aligning the M-Ocean View line along 19th Avenue and plans for divvying up SF's transportation funds.
