The agency will also hold discussions on its upcoming budget at its board meeting and a town hall this weekend. The SFMTA continues its Muni Transit Effectiveness Project meetings in five neighborhoods this week, where you can weigh in on transit upgrades. The agency will also hold a town hall on its budget for next year, and the Planning Department will show proposals for more livable streets in the Haight-Ashbury.

The SFMTA is taking the Muni Transit Effectiveness Project on a tour this week, with meetings in three neighborhoods where you can weigh in on proposed transit improvements. The Planning Department is also initiating a new plan for Mission Street outside of SoMa, and this weekend is the Silicon Valley Transportation Summit.

This Week: Lessons From Jan Gehl, Muni TEP in the Richmond
Start the week off with Jan Gehl, the Danish urban designer known around the world for his visionary work on people-friendly streets, at UC Berkeley. A couple of forums this week also look at the state of SF's transit-first policy and the future of Caltrain and CA High-Speed Rail governance. And residents in the Richmond have a chance to weigh in on Muni Transit Effectiveness Project proposals for the 2, 28/28L, and 38L lines.

This Week: N-Judah Upgrades, Cesar Chavez Ribbon Cutting
This week, the SFMTA will hold two community meetings on improvements coming to the N-Judah. It's also time to cut the ribbon on the newly-finished redesign of Cesar Chavez Street, and another community meeting on Geary Bus Rapid Transit will be held in Japantown.

This Week: Vision Zero Rally Today, Wiggle Plans Unveiled
Today at noon, join a rally calling on the city to adopt Vision Zero, the goal of ending all traffic deaths within ten years. Plans for a safer, greener Wiggle will also be unveiled at an open house meeting Wednesday evening.

This Week: Speak Out on SFPD Victim-Blaming
This week is a major opportunity to speak up about the SFPD's traffic safety practices. The Police Commission and a Board of Supervisors committee will hold a hearing on how police investigate traffic collisions involving people walking and biking. Elsewhere, SPUR discusses the reform of CEQA and the first public meeting on the Irving Commons project will be held.
