ThinkBike San Jose Workshops

From Royal Netherlands Embassy:

From Royal Netherlands Embassy:

The Netherlands’ US Embassy works with cities throughout the US to share best practices and develop environmentally-friendly transportation networks through the ThinkBike initiative. On October 22 and 23, the City of San José and the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition will host the ThinkBike Workshop San José.

The two-day workshop brings Dutch bicycling experts together with local planners, engineers, transportation experts and advocates to strengthen bicycling in San José.

The public Opening Session will include a welcome from local officials and cycling experts from the Netherlands; an overview of Dutch cycling characteristics, philosophy, and design; and a description of two San José design challenges that will be the focus for two small invite-only groups during the workshops. During the Closing Session, the two teams will present and discuss their proposed design solutions.
