Bike Share also seems to be delayed because they just haven’t managed to get the system finished. Several stations that were up and running two weeks ago, stations that I used, are now marked as “out of service” or “coming soon” on the map. Market & Powell isn’t live, the stations right in front of Caltrain are “coming soon,” Union Square is “out of service.”

I’d be far less aggravated about this if they were just honest in the first place and said “this is what will be available on launch day, we’ll have this two weeks later, this six months later, etc…”

Not surprised that BART’s night and weekend ridership is down. The odds of coming across the homeless, mentally ill, and shady fare evaders are pretty good with 20 min. frequencies. I’ve cut back on solo,non-essential trips because I don’t feel safe anymore.
