EBBC General Meeting -“The Geospatial Revolution and Bicycling”
"The East Bay Bicycle Coalition's General meeting, open to all, will begin with bicycle advocacy updates. From there, our guest speakers will lead an examination of the “Geospatial Revolution and Bicycling.” Our plans include how we can create a digital map-based discussion of various bikeways, document and report hazards to bicyclists, create layers depicting injury crashes involving bicyclists, generate local area maps for our Safe Routes to Schools programs, and siphon off online searches to suggest commuter and recreational bicycle routes. This meeting is an opportunity to brainstorm ways to create truly interactive bicycle mapping that relies on your input and benefits everybody"

Transit-Oriented America, Part 1: Eight Thousand Miles
My wife and I were married last month in Brooklyn. For our honeymoon, we wanted to see as many great American cities as we could. In 19 days of travel, we visited Chicago, Seattle, Portland (Ore.), San Francisco, Los Angeles and New Orleans (and also stopped briefly in Cleveland, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia).
