Transportation History bike ride in Golden Gate Park
We'll tour Golden Gate Park using transportation history as our lens to examine how parks reflect the social patterns of a society. The park is where the first reinforced concrete bridge was built, the first drivers license issued (yes, in the whole world!) and other amazing twists of fate. We'll bicycle to the remains of bridges and railroads and see where bicycling became a West Coast craze.

EBBC General Meeting: Sunday Streets, West Span Pathway & Bus Driver Education
Join us for our next EBBC General Meeting. This month, you'll hear about one of our latest projects: a collaboration with AC transit to train bus drivers and cyclists alike on safely sharing the road with each other. We'll spend time flexing our advocacy muscles in preparation for the Bay Area Toll Authority Meeting meeting on Jan. 27th, where we'll be advancing our campaign for the Bay Bridge West Span Bicycle-Pedestrian-Maintenance Pathway. And we'll travel to South America and back again, (virtually) looking at inspiring Sunday Streets-type events in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Bogota, Columbia... and some events a little closer to home, too. EBBC General Meetings are one of the best ways to find out the latest and greatest in bicycling around the East Bay.
