Holiday Women of WOBO Ride
Just across the estuary, there’s a little street by the name of Thompson Ave that just goes WILD for the holidays. Lights, music, trees, reindeer — these folks go all out! Last year, visitors to one yard were encouraged to step on up to a homemade stage for karaoke, and another family handed out mulled cider to passersby. If you’ve got holiday spirit, this is the place for you.

Upper-Conzelman Road Opening and Bike Event
Grab your bike and join the Project Headlands team as we celebrate the reopening of Upper-Conzelman Road, including Hawk Hill, and the completion of the first year of construction improvements! The ride will start from the Northwest Bridge parking area promptly at 9 a.m., so please be sure to arrive early. Though the construction improved the road in many ways- this is still a difficult ride and should not be attempted by novices. After the bicycles have a head-start vehicles will be welcome to follow them bicycle parade to the top of the hill and complete the loop.

Saving Caltrain, the Bay Area Connection
On November 9, Friends of Caltrain is hosting an educational event where you can learn more about the situation and what you can do to help. Carolyn Clevenger of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission will present preliminary findings from the MTC Transit Sustainability project. Yoriko Kishimoto, former Mayor of Palo Alto, will discuss funding opportunities for Caltrain, and opportunities to get involved.
