Standing Up to Legal Appeal, SFMTA Moves Ahead With Fell Street Bike Lane
Opponents of the Fell and Oak Street bikeway and pedestrian improvements filed an appeal last week seeking to delay implementation of street safety measures on the critical three-block stretch linking the Panhandle to the Wiggle, but the legal gambit will not slow down construction of the bike lane on Fell currently underway, the SF Municipal Transportation Agency says.

DPW Begins Work on Market/Valencia Left-Turn Bike Signal
Construction has begun on a left-turn bicycle traffic signal and queuing lane that will help bicycle riders turn on to Valencia Street from westbound Market Street, according to the SF Department of Public Works.

Mini-Stretch of 15th St. Goes on Road Diet for SFMTA’s “Home Zone” Project
Two blocks of 15th Street, from South Van Ness Avenue to Mission Street, went on a road diet this week. It's part of the SF Municipal Transportation Agency's "Home Zone" pilot project to study the effects of concentrated traffic calming measures on a few blocks around Marshall Elementary School, with the aim of creating a haven of slow-speed streets.
