Which should advance to round two: San Diego's arena crater or Nashville's stadium crater?

The last time San Francisco looked comprehensively at how we plan for parking, Eisenhower was president, gas was 25 cents a gallon, and we hadn’t even started building BART. It was an era when cities came to be dominated by drive-ins and drive-thrus, when streetcar lines were were being torn up, and new freeways were bulldozing old neighborhoods. As a result, our city’s parking policy still acts as a viagra for traffic, pollution and unaffordability.

It's a bit of shameless self-promotion, but I wanted to share of pair of comics pages that I drew. These comment on issues that many Streetsblog L.A. readers care about: parking and Vision Zero. I think that parking, of all the issues that dramatically affect cities, is highly misunderstood, and I wanted to see if I could use a fun visual medium to begin to scratch the surface of the insights I've learned from parking expert Donald Shoup.
