NASA managers and engineers, impressed with SFMTA's outreach and community meeting program, have decided that the next moon launch will be based on intuition, public comment, and the "better than nothing" model of orbital mechanics.

A.B. 917 is especially groundbreaking because it also authorizes automated enforcement of bus stop no-parking zones – so an agency doesn’t have to have bus lanes to benefit from this law. Illegally parked vehicles blocking parts of bus stops create safety hazards for riders boarding and exiting the bus, especially for riders with disabilities. 

We are halfway through our Streetsblog summer fundraising drive, and we’re raised just over half our overall goal of $15,000. Since we wrote to you at the start of June, we’ve raised just under $8,000, leaving us with $7,000 left to go.
