  • @East Cut:
Seriously, folks? Nothing like a half-baked marketing plan. Money and man hours went into creating this ridiculous idea? Sounds like King got a few kickbacks to write the piece. Transit center? LOL. It’s a bus station. Can’t sugar coat that, King, as much as you try.

  • Flatlander

I agree that “East Cut” is stupid, but the Transbay Transit Center is a pretty awesome building. That it will primarily be used by buses in its early years doesn’t change that. Calling it a bus station makes about as much sense as calling Nagoya Station a train station. True, but uselessly reductive.

  • I call it as I see it and I am certainly not the only one in this town who shares this sentiment. It’s a bus station and will be for decades. The fact that people are willing to accept that it’s a $2B bus station instead of being PO’d that Caltrain will not be running there next year, as we were promised, is disgusting.

Controversy over the East Cut? With the Millennium Towers? Do you think it’s settled?

OK, I’m leaning that way. 😉
