FunkyTown – Black Rock Roller Disco / Sunday Streets Fundraiser Party

"Come join D. Miles, San Francisco’s "GodFather of Skating" and the Black Rock Rollers at the CellSpace in San Francisco as we raise funds for the Black Rock Roller Disco. Once again we will bring the Golden Gate Park skate scene to the playa at Burning Man 2009. Come on out and get your skate groove on with the Black Rock Roller Disco and have a funky good time with us!!!

This is a fundraising event that supports the Black Rock Roller Disco and the Sunday Streets. Sunday Streets is a citywide effort to close streets to car traffic in San Francisco neighborhoods so that people can come "Play in the Streets". We call it "Recreational Asphalt". We’ve done the Embarcadero, the Bayview and the Mission twice and will do it again from Golden Gate Park to the Great Highway on Sunday, Aug. 9. Come show your support for Sunday Streets by skating the night away at the CellSpace with us.

Come dress in your funkiest disco outfits!!!"
