Mentor & Bike Buddy Workshop
From EBBC:
Are you an experienced cyclist who would like to help others integrate cycling into their lives? Bike Buddies are folks who volunteer to accompany new riders on their initial rides, helping them pick safe routes and ride safely. Mentors are willing to answer questions from new riders about anything ranging from how to pick a route to what gear to buy to how to take a bike on BART. Most of us act in one of these roles at one point or another, and we hope that many of you will be interested in identifying yourself as a Mentor or Bike Buddy with the 1000 New Cyclists Campaign. At the workshop, we’ll have a combination of short presentations on teaching tips, and lots of discussion time so that participants can share their wisdom & experiences.
