SPUR Evening Forum: A look ahead at California’s clean energy future

From SPUR:

The many statewide agencies responsible for regulating and planning energy use — including the California Environmental Protection Agency, California Air Resources Board and California Energy Commission — have recognized they cannot reach California’s ambitious clean energy goals without identifying their policy interdependencies and improving cooperation. A new jointly issued report, California’s Clean Energy Future, will guide the next decade of coordinated strategic planning, bringing cleaner sources of electricity online, supporting reinvigorated efforts to improve energy efficiency, developing new transmission infrastructure and ensuring the stability of the electrical grid. Join Panama Bartholomy from the CEC and Emma Wendt from PG&E for a lively discussion concerning the strengths and weaknesses of the plan, as well as what it means for future renewable energy development in California. AICP credits pending.
