Join a Greenbelt Alliance board member on this trek to walk delightful streets in Oakland and Berkeley, climb the steep Claremont hills for great views, and then descend through the lush upper UC campus.hikers resting on trail

Rating:  M/S  7  B.  (Some of the trails are steep.  Possible mud if rains have started, poison oak likely near trail in a few spots, part of fire road is badly eroded.)

What to Bring: Lunch, liquids, good hiking shoes, sunscreen, dress in layers

Rain Policy:  Heavy rain cancels

How to get there:  We will meet at the Rockridge BART station at street level at foot of escalators on east side of College Avenue, near bike racks and corner of Shafter Avenue
