San Jose Ladies Ride

From SJ Bike Party:

From SJ Bike Party:

Please Note this is a Ladies only ride.

Ladies it’s that time again. It’s time to reach out to all of the ladies in your social circle so we can encourage cycling among the ladies, so spread the word!

Guys, we already have enough volunteers to bird the event so please don’t come. Feel free to spread the word to the ladies in your life, but this really is a special yearly ride to encourage them to ride in a non male dominated environment.

This is a LADIES ONLY ride through the streets of San Jose. The route is designed for riders of all cycling backgrounds, including riders with less experience. Don’t miss out on this special ride!

Details about the route and start location TBA.  Check out our event on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/437645939655591/

Recommendations on how to prepare for the Ladies Ride:

* Plan on riding safely. Check out San Jose Bike Party’s “How We Ride”: http://www.sjbikeparty.org/how-we-ride

* If you haven’t ridden a bike in a while, try riding around your neighborhood a bit to get used to being in the saddle again. Keep in mind that you can probably ride farther than you think you can, especially when having fun and socializing with others!

* Pack plenty of water and have lights on your bike.

* Invite the women in your social circle. This is an event that they will not want to miss!
