From Walk SF:

Join California Walks, Walk San Francisco, and Walk Oakland/Bike Oakland (WOBO) for a walk celebrating the multi-use path of the eastern span of the new Bay Bridge from Oakland to Treasure Island. As you travel along the dedicated walking lane, take in the open views of the span, the old bridge, and of course, the amazing vista of the bay. Learn about Alex Zuckermann, the man who led the lobbying effort to create bicycle and pedestrian path that bears his name, and how advocacy can make a difference.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the pending BART negotiations, the Walk the Bay event will be rescheduled for October 19, if commuter train service is suspended on October 12.
