Oakland Telegraph Avenue Bikeway Open House #2

From Bike East Bay:

From Bike East Bay:

The 2nd of three official public open houses where the City of Oakland will unveil specific design concepts for redesigning Telegraph Ave, developed from technical analysis, stakeholder meetings and the Telegraph Ave Public Survey. Join us for Bike East Bay’s Pre-Meet Up at 9:30am out front to get ready for this most excellent open house, and we will have GetGoes food truck on site for you to grab a cup of coffee and some pastries. Come hungry, for bike lanes!

We expect new plans to include:
Protected Bikeways, at shown right, with parking preserved but moved one lane away from the curb, to make room for a protected bikeway. This design is repeated on both sides of Telegraph Ave, so that there are continuous bikeways along the roadway. This is the preferred option of Bike East Bay.
