SFDPW Community Meeting: Palou Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project

From SFDPW.

From SFDPW.

Discussion of the area between Barneveld Avenue to 3rd Street.

Join us to help plan and design significant improvements to Palou Avenue, from Barneveld Avenue to Crisp Road.

To improve the appearance of the corridor and increase pedestrian safety by calming traffic and improving visibility at intersections, the project will include:

• new street trees and plants
• better lighting
• bus shelters
• street furniture
• curb ramps
• bulb-outs
• repaving

Redesign of Palou Avenue is scheduled to begin in November of this year after we hear from the community.

The Palou Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project is funded by the 2011 Road Repaving and Street Safety bond.
