Dozens? 16th St is arguably in the top 5 Corridors that need subways.

And as for Geneva, I’ve specifically seen studies related to the renovation of Balboa Park BART, the specifically mention these grade issues, ones that I’ve seen every single time I was riding along the corridor.

All I have to say, is “where is Muni going to get the money” for all these subways?

“Finish the Central Subway to Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina”. “Build a subway on Geary”. “Dig a subway from 9th and Judah to Mission Bay”. “Tunnel under Geneva”.

That’s a hole [pun] lot of tunneling.

Well, Geary could be elevated. It’s a eight-lane stroad west of Gough, but NIMBY’s.

All of these projects probably could qualify for Federal$, but given the sorry state of the national government, they likely won’t be much help.

As for how to pay for it? Congestion pricing is the first thing that comes to mind.
