This Week: Transportation Tax, Phone Banking, Candidate Forum

Here is a list of events this week.

    • Tuesday Forum on Priorities for a Transportation Sales Tax. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is hosting a forum with staff from the SF County Transportation Authority to discuss the current process to reauthorize the City’s half-cent sales tax, which funds transportation projects and programs, and to set a spending plan. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 6-7 p.m. Join via Zoom.
    • Tuesday Year End Phone Banking with Bike East Bay. Help make friendly calls to bike-loving members, reminding them to renew their memberships. Starts Tuesday, Dec. 7, 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. 466 Water Street, Bike East Bay office, (between Broadway and Washington St, Jack London Square), Oakland.
    • Thursday Assembly District 17 Candidate Forum. Join the SF Bicycle Coalition, Seamless Bay Area, Senior & Disability Action, SF Transit Riders, and Walk San Francisco for a virtual candidate forum for Assembly District 17 candidates. Moderated by SF Examiner’s Carly Graf. Thursday, Dec. 9, 7-8 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
    • Saturday Group ride: Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. This medium-paced, moderate difficulty ride will start at the Richmond BART station and continue across the bridge and back. Saturday, Dec. 11, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Richmond BART, West Side Plaza, Richmond.
    • Sunday Gals with Gears. Join the Gals for a ride from Golden Gate Park to Ocean Beach, down Great Highway to Sloat and return. Sunday, Dec. 12, 10-12 p.m. Meet at the Music Concourse, 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive, S.F.
