“Haunt your House” night bike ride.
Bike Alameda is pleased to partner with the “Haunt your House” contest to offer a fun bike ride around town to view the entries.
Homes and businesses around Alameda will be decorated.
BikeAlameda will pick a safe route, give a safety spiel and lead the ride. We will stop at some of the decorated house entries. There will be refreshments along the way, too.
You must wear a helmet and have a head light and tail light on your bike. Any reflective gear would be helpful, too.
It will be dark and we will be riding in the street at a moderate pace, so no young children on their own bikes, please.
This year there will be a canned food drive. Please bring canned food items to drop off at houses along the way.

Commercial passenger aviation has nearly zero passenger deaths per year compared to about 40,000 roadway deaths. That's not a function of driving being inherently riskier — it is a function of what our leaders decide is "safe enough."
