Over the past several years, Muni staff has been busy implementing the Transit Effectiveness Project (TEP), a system-wide analysis of how to make Muni more convenient for current riders while attracting new customers. Among the goals of the TEP are to improve reliability and efficiency, reduce travel times and improve the customer experience. Muni just finished an initial study of the TEP results and is busy running several pilots, including taxi-and-bus-only lanes on a portion of Church Street and Saturday service on the 76X to the Marin Headlands. Hear an update on the TEP implementation from SFTMA Transit Service Planning Manager Julie Kirschbaum and TEP Planning Manager Sean Kennedy.
