Making sure that the Bay Area has opportunities for everyone to move up is key for the region’s long-term prosperity. SPUR and a group of partners recently released a strategy for economic mobility that highlights the need to simultaneously put workers on pathways to the middle, grow the economy to help create more middle-wage work while improving conditions in existing lower-wage jobs.
