  • Tuesday Learn from French Housing. Join SPUR for a talk about lessons for California’s housing needs from France. Tuesday, January 7, 5:30-7 p.m. SPUR Urban Center, 654 Mission Street, S.F.
  • Tuesday Car Free Happy Hour. Whether you’re car free or just want to hang out with fun people and have interesting conversations with fellow urbanists, come have a beer. Tuesday, January 7, 5:30 p.m. Cornerstone Brewery, 2367 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley.
  • Thursday Smart City Cycling. Join the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition for a presentation covering what you need to know about biking in SF and the Bay Area. This class is for people interested in biking but intimidated by urban traffic or people already biking who want to hone their skills. Thursday, January 9, 6-7 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Friday Woman and Non-Binary Morning Ride. Join the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition for a socially distanced bike ride for women and nonbinary cyclists. Friday, January 10, 7:15-8:45 a.m. McLaren Lodge, 501 Stanyan Street, S.F.
  • Sunday Adult Learn to Ride Class. This is for adults or teens who have either not yet learned how to ride a bike, or learned a long time ago but want a refresher on the basics of balancing, pedaling and steering. Bike East Bay’s instructors will help you get off to a great start. Sunday, January 12, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Alameda Waterfront Park, 2151 Ferry Point, Alameda. Register here.
