This Week: Paratransit Council, Biking in Bad Weather, Hazard Reporting

Here is a list of events this week.

  • Wednesday SFMTA Paratransit Coordinating Council. This committee is comprised of van and taxi consumers, representatives of seniors and individuals with disabilities, transportation providers and government entity representatives. The public is encouraged to attend and participate. Wednesday, January 15, 10:30 a.m. Join via Zoom or in person, SFMTA headquarters, 3rd Floor, Civic Center Conference Room, One South Van Ness Avenue, S.F.
  • Wednesday Biking at Night and in Bad Weather. This San Francisco Bicycle Coalition webinar, for intermediate riders who are comfortable riding on city streets, covers the safety info and gear you’ll need to ride in all conditions. Wednesday, January 15, 6-7 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Wednesday Hazard Reporting. Learn how to report potholes and other hazards at this Bike East Bay meeting. Wednesday, January 15, 6-7:30 p.m. Monument Impact Offices in Concord, 2699 Monument Blvd Suite H, Concord.
  • Thursday A Flood-Resilient San Francisco. Join this SPUR panel and learn how San Francisco is working on the challenges of coastal flooding and climate change. Thursday, January 16, 12-1 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Saturday Oakland Beach Cleanup. Join Save The Bay and Oceanic Global for a community cleanup in Oakland. Saturday, January 18, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Damon Slough, Oakport Street, Oakland.
  • Saturday Smart Cycling. Want to know how to ride for transportation to an advanced level? Then this Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition is class is for you. Saturday, January 18, 9:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
