Interesting that SFCTA is studying this rather than SFMTA. After all, this is a city owned and operated residential street that doesn’t have any significance to the regional traffic circulation, unlike Geary or Van Ness. Is it because the residents don’t like the recommendation from SFMTA, which is to close the street to motorized traffic during high volume periods?

    “High-speed rail by the numbers”

Your cost of driving numbers are bad and you should feel bad.

  • Drew Levitt

Seriously! Gas only? They could at least have used the federal mileage reimbursement rate as a decent if still lazy estimate of total cost of driving.

$204, in case you were wondering. Not $34!

I’m bothered by the Bluegogo development. The city says commercial activity cannot be performed in a commercial parking spot. Why is bike rental different than parking space rental?

  • p_chazz

Perhaps because the parking spaces are to be used for parking cars, not renting bikes? Sounds like Bluegogo is going to be the Leap of bicycle rentals.
