Here is a list of events this week.

  • Wednesday Solstice Picnic. Join the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and celebrate the longest day of the year, summer solstice, at a picnic in Golden Gate Park. Wednesday, June 21, 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Peacock Meadow off the JFK Promenade.
  • Wednesday Smart City Cycling. Join the SFBC for a presentation covering all you need to know about biking in SF and the Bay Area. Wednesday, June 21, 6-7 p.m., register for Zoom link.
  • Thursday Reinventing Downtown. Join SPUR and learn how Los Angeles and New York moved their downtowns in new directions. Thursday, June 22, 12:30-1:30, register for Zoom link.
  • Saturday Adult Learn to Ride. SFBC instructors will work one-on-one to assist participants in learning the basics of balancing, starting, stopping and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Saturday, June 24, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Arguello Extension, Arguello Blvd and Lincoln Way, San Francisco.
  • Sunday SFBC’s Contingent in the Pride Parade. Experience the San Francisco Pride Parade from the inside with the SF Bicycle Coalition Pride Parade contingent. Sunday, June 25, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.. Pre-parade staging area is “Area N1,” Main Street between Howard and Mission, San Francisco.
  • Sunday Ride the Richmond San Rafael Bridge on an E-Bike. This ride is designed to help familiarize people with commuting across the bridge. Sunday, June 25, 12:30 to 4 p.m., Richmond BART, west side plaza, (near MacDonald Ave and 16th Street), Richmond.
