This Week: Board Meeting, Bay Wheels, Potrero Yard

Here is a list of events this week.

  • Tuesday San Francisco Bicycle Coalition Board Meeting. All members are invited to join via Zoom or phone. Tuesday, June 27, 6-8 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Wednesday Biking with Bay Wheels. In partnership with Bay Wheels, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is offering a course covering bicycling for everyday riding in SF and how to use the Bay Wheels system. Wednesday, June 28, 6-7 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Thursday E-Bike Basics. Join the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition for an electrifying virtual workshop: "Intro to E-Bikes." Thursday, June 29, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Thursday Potrero Yard Tour. Join a tour for a behind-the-scenes look at how a transit yard works and see why SFMTA argues that its 108-year-old yard needs to be rebuilt. Thursday, June 29, 5 p.m. 2500 Mariposa Street, S.F.
  • Thursday E-Bike the Richmond San Rafael Bridge. This ride is designed to help familiarize people with commuting across the bridge. Bike East Bay instructors will lead the group over the bridge to San Rafael and back, and for those who are curious about ebikes, RAD Power Bikes will supply a loaner e-bike and helmet. Thursday, June 29, 12-4 p.m., Richmond BART, west side plaza (near MacDonald Ave and 16th Street), Richmond.
  • Thursday Bike Activism in Barcelona. The SF Bicycle Coalition hosts researcher and advocate Jordi Honey-Rosés for a discussion of efforts in Barcelona to improve biking for all its residents. Thursday, June 29, 6-7:30 p.m. San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, 1720 Market Street, S.F.
